Hello! My name is Meredith and I am a senior at TCU. I am currently pursuing degrees in English and Political Science and will graduate in May 2010. Unfortunately I still haven’t decided what I plan to do after graduation but I hope to have a career in some sort of print media.
In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my friends and family. I have learned through my life experiences so far to appreciate the small things in front of you. Nothings better than a good conversation with great people.
Being an English major it is no surprise that I love to read, especially novels. Classics, romances, comedies, I enjoy it all. I just finished reading “Let the Great World Spin” by Colum McCann and I recommended it to you all. However, I also love to read the “gossip magazines”. I admit it’s a guilty pleasure.
From taking this course in Writing for Publication I hope to gain a better understanding of how to write an article that is interesting enough for people to actually WANT to read. I tend to be a little self-conscience with my writing and get nervous when people read it. Hopefully this course will teach me to be more confident.
